But it's not all country walks, Yorkshire also has miles of beautiful rugged coastline, sandy beaches, and bays. Towns such as Bridlington, Scarborough (believed to be the world's first seaside resort), and Whitby all offering tons of fun things to do for you and the family. The area is also home to lots of pretty little fishing villages like Robin Hood Bay, situated just a few miles from Whitby.
Also located nearby is the village of Goathland, which has its own claim to fame as being the setting of 90s tv drama Heartbeat and is home to a station on the North Yorkshire Moors railway line that was once used in the Harry Potter films.
