1. Hobbits Hollow

Hobbits hollow is a unique little turf-covered roundhouse tucked away on over 4 acres of private land on the bank of the river Severn in mid-wales with beautiful countryside all around you. This little turf-covered roundhouse is the perfect little place for a romantic stay for you and your partner. The little lounge and sleeping area give this place an extremely cozy feel and its outside surroundings perfect for BBQs and relaxing around a fire pit while taking in the views. 

There are loads of things to do, with an array of cafes, restaurants, shops, and galleries nearby. There are also some great walking and cycling routes through the hills of this mid-wales area. 

2. Treetops, Padstow Cornwall

Treetops is a beautifully presented lodge in a secluded forest setting is the perfect place for couples. The lodge is light, spacious, and open plan with, its own shower room, WC a double bed, and a tv with Netflix, perfect for a cozy evening in. 

Outside the lodge, the area is decked with a gas-fired BBQ, all surrounded by beautiful woodland views. Oh and not forgetting the fire pit, shared with the other lodges in the area, cozy up around here and mingle with others, in a warm and relaxing atmosphere.

The area of Padstow, located just a couple of miles from the lodge, is a highly desirable and beautiful part of the Cornish coastline with a fabulous harbor and lots of great restaurants and cafes. The area is a haven for walkers and cycle enthusiasts as there are many cycle and walking routes including the South West Coast Path. There are other popular coastal towns a little further afield, including surfers haven Polzeath, as well as Port Issac. 

The lodge welcomes pets, although an extra charge of £20 is payable.

3. River Avon pod

Looking for a romantic getaway in the UK? Then head to the cute little Avon pod located next to the river Avon in the Devon countryside and enjoy quiet time for you and your partner away from all the challenges of everyday life. 

The studio-style living quarters consist of kitchen/dining and lounge areas with a comfy sofa and a smart TV. 

Once the day is done, slip into chill mode and cozy up outside around the fire pit and relax and enjoy a glass of bubbly before stepping into your own hot tub and appreciate the time you have together.

The surrounding area has plenty of scenic walks, or head a little further south and explore the coastal towns of Dartmouth and Salcombe and the many shops, cafes, and, restaurants here.

4. Cartmel jail

Cartmel jail is a tiny little historic listed property that was once a village lockup for rouges and has been transformed into a beautifully unique place for couples to spend a couple of nights. Inside the property, you will find a wet room with a shower and tea and coffee-making facilities on the ground floor, then head up the narrow stairs where you will find a stunning and romantic four-poster bed and a smart TV. 

Outside there is a little stone courtyard, romantically lit where you can sit and have your tea and coffee. There is no lounge or kitchen in the property, but who needs a kitchen when there is a great choice of restaurants and pubs all within walking distance. In fact, this is a great destination for foodies, with Simon Roguns relaxing Aulis restaurant in the village. There are plenty of charming little shops nearby too.

The property is located on the doorstep of the lake district with tons of walking trails, and you’re just a short drive away from lake Windermere. 

5. Three Hares Carriage, Exeter, Devon

Set in 16 acres of beautiful Devon countryside, you’ll find the Three Hares Carriage. An old railway carriage that’s been part of the same family for generations and has been beautifully restored to provide you with a fabulous and unique place to stay. 

The carriage still has many of its original features with plenty of space, with a gorgeous little kitchen diner complete with all the essentials including an electric hob, fridge, and a microwave. 

The bedroom is situated just off the spacious main hallway and has plenty of antique furniture on display a comfy bed offering an undisturbed night’s sleep and then there is the fabulous shower room with a WC. 

The accommodation is perfectly situated for exploring the Dartmoor national park as well as the beautiful Devon coast, and the English riviera at Torbay. And don’t miss the historic Jurassic coast world heritage site, which starts at Exmouth and goes all the way to Studland Bay in Dorset, a distance of about 96 miles.
